Arvind Kejriwal: Independent India made a mistake, did not focus on education

On 7 September Wednesday, Delhi’s Chief Minister and leader of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal at the press conference told Reporters that Independent made mistake to not focus on education.

Arvind Kejriwal claimed, government school should be upgraded to provide quality education. The country should have focussed on education and we should have focused on building good government school in every nook and corner, viilage and mohalla from 1947.

Kejriwal asked, why India is not No.1 country in the world even after 75 years of independence by accussing politicians of playing politics over this period.

Kejriwal accused “In the state of harayana, by the present ruling government of BJP (190) and previous government of Congress (500) shut down the running government school in the last previous years.” He called, it is a “very dangerous trend” for the country.

Kejriwal said, “27 crore children across the country go to school every day. Of them, 18 crore go to the government schools if we start shutting down them, where will the 18 crore poor children go and if they remain uneducated, how will the country progress.”

In the country, around 80% of school is worse than garbage.

Arvind Kejrival has launched party’s ‘Make India No. 1’ campaign, beginning from his home district Hissar, where he is on two day trip, after Haryana plan to visit in other state as a part of new campaign.

Kejriwal said, if 130 crore peple unite, nobody can stop India from becoming the No.1 country. We have set out on this mission and we will reach every nook and corner and go to the states and try to connect people by referring to his party’s campaign.

Punjab’s government Bhagwant Mann too improving the condition of government school.

On Monday, PM Narendra Modi announced to upgrade 14,500 schools across the country for that Kejriwal termed PM Modi’s decision to modernise 14,500 schools “a drop of water in the ocean.”

On Tuesday, Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Modi by asking him to take all states along and prepare a plan in consultation with all states to upgrade the country’s 10.50 lakh total government schools which are in country over next 5 years because by this way hundred years take for the upgradation of government school.

AAP often showcases Delhi government school as an example for its success in the election approach.
