New Delhi: On September 7, Delhi government announced the complete ban on firecrakers in Delhi for the continuation of last year directives in the national capital
On Wednesday, Delhi Environment minister Gopal Rai, announced the ban on manufacture, storage, sale, use, and bursting of all types of firecrackers will be extended until January 1, 2023
Rai said, “The ban has also been extended to online sale and delivery of firecrackers this time.
Rai tweeted, “Production, storage, sale and use of all types of firecrackers are being completely banned so that people’s lives can be saved.”
Taking to Twitter, Rai further added that an action plan will be drawn up with the Delhi Police, Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and Revenue Department to ensure strict enforcement of the ban.
Last some years, pollution level has been being increasing in Delhi during and after the festival season (Diwali). Last year too, the government had imposed a complete ban on the storage, sale, production, use, and bursting of all types firecrackers to escape people from danger. Hence, In order to save people from the danger of pollution in Delhi, like this time also the production, storage, sale and use of all types of firecrackers are being completely banned so that people’s lives can be saved with more strong implementation this year.
Last year, Aam Admi Party (AAP) had launched the ‘Patakhe Nahi Diye Jalao’ campaign to create awareness against bursting and use of firecrackers.
On September 28 to January 1, 2022, Last year keeping in view the dangerous condition of Delhi’s air pollution Delhi government AAP had ordered a complete ban on sale, manufacturing, storage, use and bursting of firecrackers, including ‘ Green Crackers’ in the national capital in ahead festival season in wake of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic and the deteriorating air quality.
