New Delhi – On 25 August Thursday afternoon, a 16-year-old girl of class 11 student of Cambridge International School on Devli Road at Sangam Vihar in South Delhi was gunshot by a bullet in the shoulder.
She was coming back from the school with her brother as usual on other days. she realized someone chasing her. When she reached at Sangam Vihar-B Block then suddenly a person from behind shot her shoulder and fled away from the motorcycle.
The girl identified one of the accused. she said, “She came into the contact with the accused through the medium of the internet (social media). She knows the accused for 2 years but now she stopped talking to Ali around Six months ago. she unfollowed him but he was continuously following her.”
Tigri police station were received a case of firing then police spotted the area. They rushed the girl to admit her to a private hospital. later, recorded the statement of the girl.
According to the police investigation (technology team, or source and CCTV footage), three men were chasing the victim when she was on her way back to home from school. They were alert on opening fire.
Police allegedly said, one of the accused was in Muzaffarnagar but when police reached there to catch him. Till then, he fled from there. Next day, accused came to Delhi again and police nabbed Bobby (24) from k-block, Sangam Vihar. Based on the information provided by him Pawan (19) was also arrested from Sangam Vihar on the same day. Later the main accused Amanant alias Arman Ali was arrested from the Trilok Puri.
Accused said, “She stopped talking and unfollowed him because of that he held grudges against her and decided to execute this plan with his two other companions. They were stalking the girl for some days to execute their plan.”
Addressing the Delhi assembly, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has said his govt will provide good treatment to the victim. He also demanded the Strictest Punishment for the accused. Meanwhile, The Delhi commission for women issued a notice on Friday to the city police for seeking action in this matter.
Deputy commissioner of police, Benita Mary Jaiker said, “According to victim statement case was registered under section 307 (murder attempt) and 34 (common intention) of Indian Penal Code and also the Arms Act.”
Girl has been discharged from the hospital and further taking care will be given at her home.
Earlier such type of cases were seen in Jharkhand but now in Delhi. Now, Delhi is comparing with other unsafe states of India for girls.
